August Activites

Summer is winding down so let's reflect on some of August's highlights:

1. Indiana State Fair where my mom won 30 seconds to collect bills in the Hoosier Lottery Win-Tunnel. Afterwards, she commented that her winning technique was to catch them with her face.
2. Callie's first Merry-Go ride. I think she's still trying to figure out if she liked it. Or, she had concern at how many tatoos the operator had... on his neck.
3. We often get help with cleaning up after a messy Callie meal. Don't worry, things get sterilized in the dishwasher.
4. Callie with her great grandpa Johnny at the lake. 5. Took the ATV's and a good friend to the ATV park. No injuries even though my friend is prone to bad decisions. I also realize I'm not 18 anymore as I'm sore as hell after four hours of riding.
6. Callie will be one year old on September 7th. She has already received a Bday card from her Kansas Grandpa and Grandma - Betty and Howard. The card went on a few trips around the house.
7. Its been a good but quick summer.

10 year reunion

This past weekend was my highschool 10 year reunion. I can't believe it has been that long since we graduated! After being a little nervous about going back, I'm really glad I did. Most people I have not seen since the day we graduated and I realized that I really did miss them. We had a great time catching up and hanging out. Sean was the life of the party getting to know everyone. A few of us even went to the local town "night club" and danced the night away. It has been a long time since I was out til 3am and I am still recovering. I really do hope that we can make good on promises of getting together more often. 10 years is a long time! Shanna, if you see this I hope you recovered and made it back for your get together the next morning. Thank you to Nicole for planning everthing!

I can feed myself!

Mommy and Daddy let me eat all by myself! Sweet potatoes are my favorite to eat and to wear! Maybe after a few more tries I'll get this spoon thing down. Till then, Mommy says she is glad she has a washing machine!
